The Griffon 110 Delux was built by Griffon Motors in Underwood/Nottinghamshire. The 110 Delux was the only model built in the period 1985-1989. Around 120 examples were built.
The construction was as usual: a fibreglass body was mounted on a ladder frame. The four-cylinder engine of the Vauxhall Viva was used, in a few exceptions also a Ford 4 cylinder. The kit was sold pre-assembled. The coloured and high-quality body parts were already mounted on a ladder frame

The Griffon is very similar in appearance to the Merlin. There are only a few differences, such as the headlights integrated into the bodywork. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to find out how this came about. Even the English technical literature only devotes a few sentences to the Griffon, in which the strong similarity to the Merlin is emphasised.
Due to the success of the Merlin, however, it can be assumed that the design was modelled on the Merlin

A four-seater version was planned, but never came onto the market.
